We've all grown accustomed to certain things and have our own idiosyncrasies; good or bad. Some things we just do because we've always done them. Does that make them right? Human nature balks at change. We are also very codependent. It takes a lot of conditioning of the mind and practice to step outside of our comfort zone.
- Are you willing to walk out on a steady job to pursue your dream?
- Are you willing to introduce yourself to a perfect stranger to offer a service?
- Are you willing to get training in a field that you know nothing about?
- Are you willing to spend money to make money?
Where are the lines drawn in your own life? Can you push your personal limits and broaden your horizons? Find something small that you're not necessarily comfortable with and try it out. It may be something as simple as maintaining eye contact for more than 4 seconds with a stranger, or smiling at everyone you see in a day. Practicing with little steps makes it easier to take the big step out of the comfort zone.
